Each month you will receive an email, or letter for those without email.
 In this email or letter we will tell you how your horse is doing
and will include photos of your horse
taken within a couple of days of the email date.
We will have a newspaper in one photo to confirm the date of the photo. 

This way you can keep in touch with your horse.

Dear Karen,
Reveille sends his greetings from Dunroven Ranch!
Here is a picture of him reading up on the latest Barry Bonds sports news.

The weather has been awesome, warm sunny days and mild breezy evenings
with spectacular cloud formations over the High Sierra just to the east of us.

All the horses are enjoying the shade of the big buckeye trees during the
hottest part of the day and the fresh cooling breezes of late afternoon.

After his noon feeding of Equine Senior, Rev joins his buddies in the turn-out pastures. They romp a little and then settle in for an enjoyable afternoon of wandering here and there seeing what sort of grasses are left to nibble, getting a cool drink from the trough under the big pine tree, and watching to see the antics of the ranch cats.

Dunroven has new kitten, a black and white stray we named Tempe.
Reveille is quite fascinated by the little charmer
and never misses a chance to "lip" her soft fur.
Tempe doesn't seem at all intimidated by his size!



Here is a snapshot of Rev with his turn-out pal, Tatesa. They are great friends.

Rev was wormed this month (he was good as usual) and next month
will be getting WNV vaccine.
His feet still look good from his last trimming.
I think the warm weather has been good for his arthritis,
he seems to be moving quite comfortably right now.
