Tour Dunroven Ranch



Dunroven is located in the foothills of the sierra mountains in central California.




At 3000 feet elevation we are below the snow in winter



and above the cold winter fog and summer smog of the San Joaquin Valley

The weather is mild here in Badger,  perfect for the elder equine.



We offer nice large paddocks each with a snug walk in stall 
so the horses have a choice to be inside or out.
This gives them plenty of space for exercise as well as 
protection from the elements.



All paddocks have covered feed shelters in addition to the walk in stalls 
These feed stalls have raised feed tables. 
As well as keeping feed out of mud in winter and dirt in summer
and providing shelter from rain and sun, the raised beds
makes feeding more comfortable for horses with laminitis and arthritis.



All the paddocks have large shade trees, Buckeye & Oak. 

The paddocks are clustered together so horses can socialize.
Large paddocks are shared by two compatible horses.



These have very large walk in stalls to comfortably accommodate two horses.
 Horses really prefer being together like in a herd.
Especially when horses get older they really feel more secure
with another horse close by.



The views from the paddocks are spacious and beautiful.




The horses are turned out with compatible partners for further exercise
and a change of scenery.



Here there are trails on flat terrain



as well as trails on short gentle inclines
